Experience all the
Colorado backcountry has to offer on a one, two or three day
overnight photography pack trip. The horse or mule ride into
base camp takes about three hours. Base camp is nestled at
the edge of an alpine meadow. Spend the
following days riding and exploring the surrounding area around
Pagoda Peak and Flattop Mountains. With the largest elk herd
in the country don't be surprised if you see 50 to 100 Elk a day.
Our summer pack trips
take place in the vast and unspoiled territory around Pagoda Peak,
near the Flattops Wilderness Area. You'll experience
breathtaking scenery, and enjoy viewing elk and other wildlife in
their natural state.
Base camp provides
you comfortable accommodations with three roomy wall tents
for sleeping with 4"pads and a large cook tent equipped with all
utensils needed for food preparation. All meals are
provided.
A fire pit will be available, but use of it will depend on the
fire danger and the rules set forth by the U.S. Forest
Service. We will strictly enforce these rules.
Surrounding our base camp is a network of trails that will access
many different areas for your wildlife viewing and photographic
enjoyment.
Below is a list of options for this camp.
